A 14-minute, four-try blast virtually assured the Stormers of victory before the break; flanker Sikhumbuzo Notshe getting the impressing attacking sequence underway when he touched down in the 10th minute.
Six minutes later centre Kobus van Wyk followed suit before Siyabonga Ntubeni and Juan de Jongh also touched down to open up the 26-0 lead.
To their credit, the Sunwolves showed some fight with tries to Riaan Viljoen and Yuki Yatomi either side of half-time.
But the fightback was short-lived as first Notshe grabbed his second and then halfback Louis Schreuder crossed; the tries ensuring the Stormers would earn the bonus point even after Viljoen grabbed a second five-pointer as a late consolation for the Sunwolves.
