Martin Castrogiovanni claims that Leicester are the team that moulded him into one of the world's finest props ahead of an emotional reunion with the Tigers.
The 34-year-old became a fan favourite at Welford Road during a seven year spell at Leicester between 2006-13, which included four Premiership titles.
Castrogiovanni helped current side Racing 92 dethrone three-time reigning European holders Toulon 19-16 in the Champions Cup on Sunday to clinch a potentially fairytale ending to his career against the Tigers.
"It's an honour to be here at Racing, I don't know how many games I have left, maybe it will be my last Champions Cup game against Leicester," said the tight-head. "It would be great to start with Leicester and finish against Leicester.
"It would be a massive honour to play against the team who made me the player I am today and in-front of the fans who have really loved me. I know I didn't have the best time the last time I played there with Toulon, but Leicester is my club, it will always be in my heart.
"We will see who is the best club on the day, I have Leicester in my heart but I will be playing for Racing."
Racing 92, in a maiden semi-final, will travel to the City Ground in Nottingham on April 24 to vie with Leicester for a place in the European showpiece and Castrogiovanni expects a finely poised encounter.
He said: "It was a big game for us against the three-time reigning champions. It was not an easy game, we worked hard all week to get the win in this game. The club have been chasing this dream for a long time and it's a massive win for the club.
"It's a big game, it's a semi-final and it's all about the 80 minutes. We need to keep working hard because it will be the team who makes the least mistakes who win the game."
