England aiming to become 'most dominant team in the world'

Exeter wing Jack Nowell wants England to become the "most dominant team in the world" on the back of their Grand Slam success.

Eddie Jones's side won the Six Nations and completed a first Grand Slam since 2003, following their disappointing pool stage exit from last year's Rugby World Cup. Nowell, who started in all five championship matches, hopes that form can continue when England fly to Australia for a three-Test tour in June.

"We want to be the most dominant team in the world," Nowell told BBC Radio Devon. "The first stage for us was Europe and now it's going to be a massive test going down to Australia in the summer.

"It's going to be another challenge for us but one that we can look forward to after a good start.

"At the start of the tournament [Six Nations] we said that we wanted to be the best side in Europe. To do that you have to win all five games, so to come back and to achieve that is massive for us."

England will contest the Cook Cup against Australia this summer, with Tests in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
