The Bulls moved into third spot in the South African Group with a bonus-point 38-6 win over Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth on Saturday night.

The three-time Super Rugby champions scored six tries in total and kept their fellow South Africans to just two penalties in a powerhouse display at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

But the Bulls didn't have it all their own way as they lost two men to the sin-bin in the shadows of half-time, the visitors surviving the tense period with their line intact before winger Jamba Ulengo crossed for the second of his two tries.

Ulengo had earlier touched down on the quarter mark after Jan Serfontein opened the Bulls' try-scoring account after 15 minutes. SP Marais completed the first-half five-pointers on 27 minutes before the Bulls were forced into an extended period of defence, eventually drawing the two yellow cards.

But the Kings couldn't make their numerical advantage count, the Bulls regaining the momentum with Ulengo's second before RG Snyman added a fifth try for the visitors and Maris completed his double.

The Bulls head back to Pretoria to face Queensland Reds in Round 8 while the Kings have a week off.
