Hatley welcoming pressure to deliver at England

England's new scrum coach Neal Hatley is relishing the chance to work under Eddie Jones and is welcoming the inevitable pressure that comes with the role.

Hatley has been at Bath since 2012 but will leave the club after Saturday's Aviva Premiership clash against Leicester Tigers to take up his new role with England.

England's scrum performed well in the Six Nations under Ian Peel's guidance and Hatley is fully aware he will be worked hard by Jones as they attempt to meet his challenge of establishing the national side as the world's number one team.

"There couldn't be a more exciting time to be involved with English rugby," Hatley said in the Daily Mail. "Eddie brings a wealth of experience. It's one of those jobs that if you don't take it, you don't know if it will ever come around again.

"For me this opportunity was way too good to pass up. It is a young squad who have been through a tough learning curve with what happened at the World Cup and they are so much better for it. There is an exciting group of young players mixed in with the likes of Dan Cole and James Haskell. I have heard Eddie works incredibly hard but that is brilliant.

"If you coach at that level and it is easy, everyone would do it. I expect it to be tough, I expect to be pushed and pulled to get the best from the players."
