Bath head coach Mike Ford has parted company with the Aviva Premiership club, it has been confirmed.
Ford leaves following a disappointing season that saw the 2015 Premiership finalists finish ninth, missing out on the playoffs and European Champions Cup qualification.
The former England defence coach arrived at The Rec in 2012, and became head coach 12 months later.
He led Bath to a fifth-place finish in his first season, before masterminding a second-place finish and losing Premiership final appearance in the 2014-15 season.
However, the wheels came off this season, with Ford's side finishing 10 points off Champions Cup qualification following a campaign dominated by the fallout of Sam Burgess' return to rugby league.
Bath's managing director, Tarquin McDonald, said: "Over the four years Mike has been with the club, both he and the team under his guidance have achieved a huge amount.
"He has developed an exciting, attacking style of rugby, helped to develop exciting talent and in 2014-15 he brought the team to the final against Saracens at Twickenham.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mike for all his hard work, passion and commitment to the club and wish him all the best for the future."
With scrum coach Neal Hatley also leaving The Rec this summer, Bath confirmed that a review of the coaching set-up was currently underway.
