Wales will be without Jonathan Davies when they take on England at Twickenham on May 29, after his club Clermont Auvergne confirmed he would not be released.
England host Wales ahead of a busy summer which sees Warren Gatland's visitors depart on a three-Test tour of New Zealand next month.
However, the fixture falls outside of World Rugby's designated international window and therefore the Top 14 club is not required to release Davies.
On Thursday, Clermont coach Franck Azema revealed that the Wales centre -- and Canada's Jamie Cudmore -- would remain with the club until after their trip to Toulouse, which takes place on the day that Wales are at Twickenham.
Davies is leaving the French club at the end of the season, to return to Wales with the Scarlets, meaning the game against Toulouse will be his final Clermont appearance.
