England will be put through their paces by judo coaches JP Bell and Kate Howey at their Brighton training camp on Monday as Eddie Jones looks to improve their tackling.
Eddie Jones has brought in various figures from outside of rugby union with league legend Andrew Johns speaking to the half-backs about attacking detail during their recent tour of Australia.
And as Jones concentrates on improving England's all-court game, the introduction of four-time Olympian Howey and Bell is to improve their grappling techniques in the tackle area.
For England prop Mako Vunipola, the judo training brings back bad memories from when he last gave the sport a go.
"I nearly passed out when I did it before," Vunipola said. "I did it at an England U18s camp. That was my first and only experience of it.
"We had to roll backwards and forwards all the time. I was heavier back in the day, 136kg, so by the seventh or eighth roll I was nearly passing out so they made me stop."
